Below I will be highlighting my unique work experience that has given me the “Jill/Jack of all trades” skills needed in the work place.
In the beer industry I worked a number of positions including retail manager, general manger, and packaging/cellar lead amongst many other supportive roles. I was passionate about the product and therefor wanted to be as educated as I could. This shows i’m a self starter, and self motivated. This made me an asset in the tasting room (bartender)! I loved talking to customers, educating them in a disarming way, getting to know them, building relationships and a community with regulars and industry people. As a manager I had to keep both my staff’s and companies interest a priority. I had to be the example of how work could be efficient and enjoyable, while still driving sales. I believe these to be a good example of me over over seeing many operational needs in an AGCO controlled environment as well as a competitive industry much like the cannabis is right now. Because I worked in multiple facets of these companies it helped me better understand the possible operational needs down the road as the company grew.
As Operations Manger & Head of Client Services is was imperitive that I have a strong relationships with clients as well as the staff. I was responsible for helping to set the tone and establishing the culture of the office and then maintain it. Superette more any other company that i have worked for seems to understand the importance of that. And not just in how leadership teams talk but demonstrated in how they treat their staff on a daily basis. I made sure everything to do with our client’s, our staff’s, the company’s and our building’s needs were met. A few of the small ways I did this was by having a fully stocked and functioning kitchen, designated First Aid areas, shredding services, Uber (rides and eats). Some larger examples of projects are I re-designed and oversaw the renovations of many suites, new company offices and the main lobby. I was working on developing a new accounting process that would be cohesive between multiple sister companies. I managed all of those companies’ credit cards and statements. Oversaw budgets (quarterly/year) and made sure each company was adhering to them. I took care of the building maintenance vendors (pest control, snow removal, HVAC, cleaners), on-boarded new staff and hired/oversaw our client service employees both for the day-to-day sessions as well as events. In Client Services I ensured that every client's needs were met as they walked through the door - coffee, lunches, dinner, snacks, etc. I would keep track of special days like birthdays and promotions and have special desserts and/or drinks ready for them. I understand the need for our office feel like a family/community, this foster trust that our client's business was in the right hands.
I have strong skills in organization, time management and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks at the same time. I also have a proactive, analytical and efficient approach to problem-solving. This is all shown in my combined 4.5 years as a Coordinator/Post Production Producer. In those roles, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects within Editorial, Colour Grading, CG, Design, Audio and VFX/Online. I managed assets received from other companies as well completed in-house. I worked collaboratively with artists, agencies, clients and other team members to ensure feedback was incorporated and needs were addressed to deliver the best quality projects on-time and on-budget. Projects included television shows, films, advertising campaigns, interactive displays and music videos. This role also require me to have very good relationships with clients and employees, have an amazing eye for detail, wear many hats, foresee any problems and find ways to solve them. Overseen the completion of countless ad campaigns I many time asked for by name by our clients. This role demonstrates an amazing tract record of Projects being completed end - to - end. It also show my understanding of a branding, marketing, advertising and the need to be agile and adapt quick with the times to keeps branding or the companies I work with front of mind.
Additionally I’m driven, always looking for opportunities to to adapt and grow. Examples of this are the course that I have been taking during the lockdown that include included project management (Scrum master), a coding course (Front End development, React, planing on adding Python), and barista training(…..because why not 🤷🏻♀️ we all love coffee!)
